Overall Purpose of the Job
To assist Maintenance Superintendent maintain the plant equipment in good working condition to achieve gas sales target. Assist Maintenance Superintendent in long term planning and responsible for day to day planning of scheduling of maintenance works. To supervise maintenance job in field. Ensuring the compliance of company safety policy and contribute in eliminating and reducing risk involved in the jobs.
Principal Accountabilities
• Personal involvement and supervise all mechanical maintenance activities at central facility and wellheads.
• To ensure efficient running and maintenance of gas turbine and compressor.
• Maintain the house keeping and orderliness of maintenance workshop.
• Provide hands-on guidance to Assistant Mechanical Engineers as and when required.
• Make daily report on the progress of and submit it to Maintenance Superintendent.
• Review spares required for the corrective and preventive maintenance.
• Ensuring safe working condition of all mobile equipment.
• Coordinate with W/H for the improvement of inventory system.
• Review all the PM maintenance procedure critically and assist Maintenance Superintendent to develop procedures for each maintenance activity.
• Assist Maintenance Superintendent to prepare all the necessary paper work for shutdown related works.
• Responsible of updating the lifting equipment record.
• Should be involved in the major maintenance works such as shutdown, overhauling of generators, turbine, compressors and other works as assigned to him.
• To monitor equipment performance using built in techniques to establish the most cost effective maintenance program.
• To participate in Risk Assessments of all maintenance jobs to highlight potential hazards and incorporating precautionary measures to reduce risks.
• To develop investigation reports on relevant incidents with recommendations to avoid recurrence.
• As Fire Chief-ERT, primarily responsible to attend all incidents within the Fire ring main. In conjunction with OSC decides on the best strategy for controlling the incident at site. Provide specific instructions to ERT members on how to deal with the emergency & rescuing jobs, while ensuring the safety of all members. Evaluate progress & give feed back to OSC on all emergency handling activities. Upon requirement, also provide back up support to off site response team (ORT).
Candidate Profile
• Degree in mechanical engineering with 10 years experience in maintenance in Petrochemical or Oil & Gas Industry.
• Should have held similar managerial position previously.
