Khawaja M. Akber brings over 15 years of well-rounded experience in internal audit, compliance, financial management, and business process transformation, with a strong track record across the manufacturing, development, and financial sectors in Pakistan.

He started his career at Standard Chartered Bank as a Trainee and then moved to KPMG Taseer Hadi & Co. as an Auditor. He then transitioned to different international organizations which include USAID and UKAID projects where he worked in the capacity of Manager Audit and Compliance and reported to donor globally.

Khawaja then served at Loads Limited (a listed manufacturing company) for more than half a decade where he was heading the Internal Audit department before moving to Agha Steel Industries Limited as Group Head of Internal Audit and Transformations (BPR) in 2022. In April 2025, he joined Prime Global Energies Limited as Head of Internal Audit, where he now leads the Internal Audit function.

Along with being an ACA and FCCA member, Khawaja holds an MBA degree as well.
