Overall Purpose and Principal Accountabilities
• To ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly revenue invoices and accurate accounting records are maintained for the Gas Sales and condensate sales.
• To prepare ageing report for management review on weekly basis.
• To maintain the model for calculation of provisions in accordance with IFRS..
• To ensure that the Sales tax, FED and Royalty are calculated accurately, communicated to JV Partners and paid before the due date.
• Accurate payment of withholding tax with the reconciliation of ledger on timely basis.
• To ensure that all periodical fiscal declarations are submitted before due date OR extended due date.
• To provide complete support to Tax consultant in preparation of fiscal declarations and other fiscal matters.
• Preparation of periodical corporate tax computations.
• Liaison with auditors and tax consultants to close their queries in a timely manner.
• Preparation of quarterly status of all open items in tax asset and liability accounts in Trial Balance to make sure duplicate items are cleared and any incorrect booking of exchange are avoided.
• Quarterly reconciliation of tax refunds as per assessment orders/ demand notices/ payments and appeal effects versus the amounts as per General Ledger.
• Maintaining the list of all fiscal and legal claims along with notes and assessments for provisions under IFRS.
• Maintaining a tax calendar for deadlines in Pakistan and all other locations where companies have fiscal and statutory responsibilities.
• Preparation of periodic budgets for cashflows and PL amounts for taxes and other charges
• Ensuring that all tax, revenue and royalty related reports are fully reconciled with GL.
• Ensure that Sales invoices are prepared timely and accurately and despatched to customer in time.
• All the Taxes are paid timely.
• All queries raised to tax and revenue section are resolved in a timely manner.
• All the fiscal liabilities accounts are reconciled on quarterly basis
Candidate Profile
• CMA or Part qualified CA
• Should have a 2-3 years of working experience in similar role
• Prior experience with Exploration & Production Company is preferred
• Good communication skills. Multitasking and problem solving abilities
• Working knowledge of MS Office and SAP.
