Overall Purpose of the Job
To supervise & coordinate all activities pertaining to Health, Safety & Environment, at Bhit Gas Field, thereby contributing to eliminate / reduce the risk & loss exposure through promoting HSE Awareness among field employees & advising Field Manager on all field HSE matters ensuring compliance to current regulatory legislation & company standards.
Principal Accountabilities
Implementation of corporate HSE Management system at site for achieving the desired HSE standards to mitigate & minimize all losses to Company’s employees and assets for uninterrupted safe and smooth functioning of company’s business activities.
Coordinate the development, monitoring, updating, and reporting of the various site HSE plans and risk registers (e.g. High-Level Risk Register, Environmental Aspect Register) and provide support to other organization functions to ensure ‘corrective actions’ are assigned and implemented.
Lead and participate in internal and external HSE audits and inspections at both COMPANY and Contractors’ premises to verify that conditions comply with the contractual HSE requirements and associated standards.
Working with different Contractors/subcontractors and targeting to achieve the ZERO Accident throughout the period by close monitoring, trainings, inspections and awareness sessions, meetings, toolbox talks.
Providing technical HSE advice and input to Field Manager at site.
Establishing good coordination between Plant / Wellsite team and its contractors on HSE matters.
Support the Management of Change and Pre-start-up Safety Review process by providing advice, training, hazard review facilitation and quality auditing of the process.
Support the compliance auditing and performance measurement processes and assist in conducting formal internal audits of the various PSM program elements.
Serve as focal point for the dissemination of Process Safety Fundamentals at field locations.
Carrying out HSE Risk Assessments / Job Safety Analysis for various field activities and making sure that the recommended HSE controls emerging from these risk assessments are implemented in the daily project activities.
Ensure that all operations are being carried out in compliance with the Company HSE policy, procedures, EIA and EMP. Monitor and report environmental data to Office as per required frequency.
Participation in HAZOP studies and other risk assessment activities related to Process Safety.
Reporting incidents and accidents and following up on the closures of Corrective Action Requests (CARs).
Participate, as a member of the investigation team, in Incident Investigations and support the preparation of lessons learned.
Candidate Profile
University degree in engineering with 10 years of experience specifically of health, safety & environmental in Oil and Gas business.
Familiarity with the legal HSE requirements for the oil & gas industry and awareness of ISO-14001, ISO-45001 and ISO-39001 standards is essential.
Sound knowledge of HSE management systems & Process Safety prevalent in modern day upstream or midstream or fertilizer industry, and awareness of Gas Processing Plant related hazards & controls is a basic requirement.
Sound Knowledge of PHA and HAZOP
Good English/National language communication, interpersonal, supervisory and report writing skills as a must.
