Muhammad Naveed Akhtar is an accomplished finance professional with more than 25 years of extensive multinational experience in the Oil & Gas E & P sector. His expertise spans corporate taxation, joint venture accounting, budgeting & planning, and large-scale ERP (SAP) implementation.
He began his career with A.F. Ferguson & Co. where he completed his Chartered Accountancy training with a focus on assurance and business advisory services. He later joined Schlumberger where he was responsible for Management Accounting function related to Drilling services and Seismic Acquisition operations in Pakistan.
He spent over 15 years with OMV Pakistan Exploration GmbH, where he served as Budget Planning Manager, Accounts Payable Manager, and Accounting Manager responsible for Financial Reporting & Corporate Taxation. He also served as Trustee of the Employees Retirement Benefit Funds for 18 years.
Before joining Prime Global Energies Limited, Muhammad Naveed also served with United Energy Group in Pakistan, where he held key managerial positions including Planning & Performance Manager, Manager Tax & Financial Reporting, and Advisor to the Head of Finance on SAP. He also served as Trustee of the Employees Retirement Benefit Funds for 18+ years. He joined Prime Global Energies Limited in 2024 and now heads the Supply Chain department.
Muhammad Naveed Akhtar is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Pakistan and holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Hailey College of Commerce, University of Punjab.
He is also serving as an Industry Expert on the Arbitration Panel of the Pakistan Stock Exchange since 2016.
