Overall Purpose of the Job
• Identify, evaluate & recommend potential exploration portfolio in line corporate strategic objectives.
• Manage exploration and appraisal activities to maximize the value of operated and non-operated acreage.
Principal Accountabilities
• Propose and implement exploration and appraisal work programs and budgets in operated licenses
• Refine, concur and implement E&A work programs and budgets in non-operated licenses.
• Identify and deliver focused and material exploration new business opportunities after thorough technical and economic review.
• Protect the interests and facilitate the success of the company.
• Manage staff to evaluate and deliver a high standard of technical work.
• Develop efficient organizational structure in the exploration department.
• Maintain and facilitate working contacts between all department.
• Maintain and implement excellent working relations with all stakeholders especially joint venture partners, government departments and contractors.
Candidate Profile
• M.S/B.S in Geosciences or related discipline
• At least 20 years of experience of Exploration in E&P Companies with 3+ years in leadership role
• Good interpersonal skills, tact, patience, ability to adapt, interest and curiosity on professional and cultural matters
