Overall Purpose of the Job
• Provide geological expertise and support to Reservoir Engineering for operated and non-operated fields, focusing on optimal field development and production optimization.
• Integrate geological, geophysical, and reservoir engineering data to develop robust correlations, depositional models, and accurate reservoir characterizations.
Principal Accountabilities
• Collaborate with Petrophysics, Geophysics, and Reservoir Engineering teams to deliver integrated reservoir models.
• Conduct sedimentological, structural, sequence stratigraphy, and reservoir characterization analyses using advanced techniques.
• Evaluate subsurface opportunities and propose new wells aligned with the company’s drilling plan to enhance field production.
• Provide comprehensive geological insights to support effective field development planning and decision-making.
• Perform post-well analysis by updating structural and petrophysical parameters in existing reservoir models.
• Identify and recommend production optimization strategies (e.g., additional/re-perforation, water shut-off) in mature fields to maximize cost effective recovery.
• Prepare and deliver high-quality technical presentations to Joint Venture Partners (JVPs) in workshops, TCMs, and OCMs.
• Communicate complex geological interpretations clearly to multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior geoscientists and actively contribute to knowledge transfer within the organization.
Candidate Profile
• B.S./M.S. in Geology or a related discipline.
• More than 8 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with exposure to diverse geological environments.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in geo-modeling
• Proficiency in reservoir modeling software like Petrel and other relevant tools.
• Demonstrate professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to work effectively across disciplines and cultures.
