Karachi, Pakistan – June 04, 2025 –

As part of its strategic expansion in Pakistan, Prime Global Energies Limited has successfully completed the legal formalities for acquiring a 10% working interest in the Baran Exploration Licence, located in the Sindh Province. The acquisition was made from Oil and Gas Investments Limited.

The Baran block is operated by Polish Oil and Gas Company, which holds a 59% working interest, while Pakistan Petroleum Limited retains a 31% stake. Notably, the Baran block is adjacent to Prime Global Energies’ operated Bhit Development & Production lease, enhancing the company’s operational synergy in the region.

Currently, the joint venture partners are engaged in extensive 2D and 3D seismic activities to evaluate the block’s hydrocarbon potential, marking a significant step forward in exploration and development efforts.

This acquisition underscores Prime Global Energies’ commitment to strengthening its upstream portfolio and contributing to Pakistan’s energy security.
